Soil nails have advantages in some situations due to the area of installation on a slope surface where soft soils on the surface may be more problematic. Soil nails may be finished with shotcrete or other facing reinforcement.

Micro piles


Micro pile systems are advantageous in some situations because of the narrow space required for installation.

A micro pile network may be installed along a very narrow bench on a slope or at the head of a slope to improve slope strength and stability.
