TechnologySlope stability analysisNW Soil utilized the Slide (Version 5) computer program by Rocscience to perform slope reinforcement analyses to evaluate the proposed soil nail slope reinforcement. Potential slope reinforcement measures are analyzed to assess the impacts of slope improvements on the site. Slope geometry and groundwater for the existing and reinforced slopes are modeled to evaluate the overall slope stability improvements. Typically the model of the existing slope is calibrated to a factor of safety near 1.0 to estimate worst case the geologic material strength parameters. Soil nail or micro pile elements are then added to estimate the numeber and spacing required to achieve the desired factor of safety. A pseudo-static analysis is also completed to determine seismic impacts on the existing and reinforced slopes. Quick Reference |
